Sizing and product care

Care of your greenfibres organic and natural textiles.

Always check individual care labels or please contact Greenfibres.

If in doubt, choose the cooler, gentler method of washing a natural product than you would a heavily treated conventional one and use ‘green’ non-bleach washing agents. Please note that certified organic goods and garments have not been treated with flame retardant agents and should therefore be kept away from fire.

Organic cotton, organic linen, and hemp: machine-washable at 30-60 degC – gentle tumble dry – hot steam iron.

Organic wool, organic silk, cashmere: hand-wash or use a modern washing machine with a specially designated gentle wool/silk cycle

Organic cotton duvets and organic cotton / kapok duvets can be machine washed at 40 degC.

Organic wool and camelhair duvets cannot be machine washed. You can spot wash any marks and spills on the organic cotton percale outer, but the best way to ‘clean’ your natural duvet is to hang it outside in lots of sunshine and breeze, this helps to activate the natural oils contained in the animal fibres.

All of our pillow covers are made from organic cotton, some quilted with organic cotton and all can be machine washed at 40 degC. Please remove the fillings first and store them in a warm, dry area and only refill the pillow when the cover is completely dry.

We make our pillows so that all the natural fillings are removable, adjustable and refillable, allowing you to have the perfect pillow just for you.

Sizing guides.

As our clothing is made by different manufacturers and sometimes cut gender specific, sometimes unisex, we also give the actual measurements of our garments under ‘More Information’ as part of the product description (please let us know if you cannot find the measurements you are looking for).

These are the measurements of the garment laid out flat and measured without stretching. To see which size would work best for you we recommend you take a similar garment you own already and know fits you well, note down the measurement of this garment and compare it to the measurements given on our website.

You can also always give us a call or email and ask for advice – we are different shapes and sizes here and can often talk from personal experience regarding the fit and cut of a garment.

Happy measuring!

Please refer to inches/cm measurements given in the description of the clothes. The table below gives some further guidelines, but if you would like to speak to someone regarding sizes we are always happy to answer any questions you might have, our phone number is 01803 868001.
