About Greenfibres | A sustainable alternative for life's essentials
It all started back in the mid 1990s, when William Lana and Gabriela Lana left careers in financial services to create Greenfibres. To offer an offer an environmentally and socially responsible alternative to conventionally produced clothing and homewares.
Today, with the continued rise of fast fashion and textiles, and its detrimental impact on our planet and workers, the need to source authentically organic and ethical clothing and home textiles is more important than ever.
We know that producing things means contributing to a system that is already overflowing. Because of this, we have chosen to produce only essential items that are not practical or difficult to source second hand, and to produce them as responsibly as we can. Items that serve you well, and when they’re done, their end of life doesn’t add to landfill.
This means choosing certified organic items first, as we believe this is the best way to ensure items have been made in the best possible way for our health, the health of our planet and the people that make them. When certified is not possible, that means choosing natural and ethical items that aligns with these principles.
Thank you for joining us on our journey.
