Please do check the size of the pillow cases you are ordering; the 50 x 75cm are a UK standard size that fit our organic wool pillow, the 40 x 60cm is smaller and will fit our other pillows such as the organic millet, spelt and buckwheat.

Brushed cotton is made by breaking some of the top cotton fibres in order to give a softer, fuzzy surface. Over time the soft 'hairs' of the surface will compact with use and washing. This will make the fabric denser and warmer but less soft to the touch. Because of this particular make-up, flannel has a tendency to 'pill'. Pilling occurs when small fibres on the surface of the fabric 'roll-up' with one another and form little balls. This is an intrinsic characteristic of brushed materials and not a fault. If you would like to get rid of the bobbles you can use pilling shaver.
Pilling can be avoided by putting a synthetic finish (e.g. formaldehyde) on the fabric. Of course, we don't do this!
Can be machine washed at 60 degrees C max.
