Organic and natural fabrics by the metre

All organic and natural fabrics are sold by the metre. Our organic cottons and organic linens are grown in Turkey and India and are certified organic by Control Union (formerly SKAL). Hemp and silk materials are grown without synthetic chemicals. We source most of our hemps from Romania, the coarse bourette silk from China and the wild, handwoven silks from India. All fabrics are made under fair and safe working conditions and two are FAIRTRADE certified. We recommend that you wash all fabrics gently before working with them. We normally despatch orders within 5 working days. Occasionally, production cycles or temporary lack of availability may delay delivery by up to 4 weeks. All production steps are completely documented through transaction certificates and controlled by an EU accredited certifier (e.g. Soil Association, IMO, or Control Union). Ambitious quality specifications are also an element of GOTS, and only inspected textile aids and high quality low impact dyes are permitted. Exploitation and child labour are strictly prohibited and the requirements of the International Labour Organization have to be met.
